Our Beliefs
We believe the unchanging Word of God is the strongest foundation to shape our worldview and build our theology. Our beliefs are not constructed by personal preference, but are deeply rooted in the soil of the Scriptures.
The Bible
The Bible is God’s story to mankind revealing to us who He is, and who we are. We believe the entire Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God. God used men who were moved by His Spirit to record the Scriptures; therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
God
We believe in one personal God who has eternally existed in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who are co-equal, co-eternal, full of glory, infinitely perfect in holiness, truth, and love.
Jesus
We believe Jesus Christ to be the incarnate virgin born Son of God who lived a perfect sinless life, was crucified for the sins of the world, was buried, arose bodily after 3 days, and ascended into heaven to His rightful place of glory where He now rules and reigns. We believe there is no other name given under heaven by which we must be saved.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit regenerates and indwells every believer in Jesus at the moment of salvation. He convicts us of sin, assures us of salvation, guides us into all truth, comforts us, imparts to us spiritual gifts, glorifies Jesus, and empowers us to serve in His Story!
Mankind
We believe that all people were created in the image of God and therefore are equal in dignity and worth. Having been made in God’s image we were created to have fellowship with Him and reflect His glory. Man however willingly chose to rebel and display his own glory. As a result God’s image was marred and man became alienated from God. The supreme need of all humanity is to be reconciled to God through the free gift of salvation, which is offered to us through Jesus.
Salvation
We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, which was freely given on the cross, provides the only way for the forgiveness of man’s sin. It is by God’s grace through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that that we are saved. Salvation cannot be earned through mans efforts or good works, it is a gift from God for anyone and everyone who believes.
The Church
We believe in the universal church, the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The church is not a building, a place, or a religious organization, it is a people who have trusted in the finished work of Christ and become members of His body. Each member has a unique role and specific gifts which are given to them by the Spirit to serve and build up the body. The church exists to glorify God by loving Him, obeying Him, and partnering with Him to bring His Story to the entire world.
Eternity
We believe in the physical, personal, visible, and glorious return of Jesus Christ to the earth to consummate His Kingdom, restore all things, and judge the earth in perfect righteousness. We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust; the unjust to judgment and eternal punishment, and the just to eternal blessedness in the presence of Jesus where we will rule and reign with Him in the new heaven and new earth.
